ABOUT

Despite many positive signs that South Africa is changing for the better following the election of Cyril Ramaphosa as President, the dark clouds that could derail his so-called 'new dawn' remain. There are many issues making it difficult for the post-Zuma South Africa to gain traction - economic growth is lacklustre, trade unions are as demanding as ever, service protests continue. The complicated issue of land expropriation without compensation is driving heated and very emotional debates from all sides. Brenthurst Wealth, in association with Moneyweb, will host another series of seminars known as "South Africa Quo Vadis?" where expert speakers will review the scenarios and also look at how this could impact investment decisions. The speakers are: Magnus Heystek, Director and Investment Strategist of Brenthurst, Ralph Mathekga, Political Analyst and author of 'When Zuma Goes' (2016), Magda Wierzycka, CEO of the Sygnia Group, Jean-Pierre Verster, Equity Portfolio Manager of Fairtree Capital, Glyn Owen, Investment Director at Momentum Global Investment and Ryk van Niekerk, editor of Moneyweb. All presentations will be in English.
