ABOUT

Personal branding is the practice of people marketing themselves and their careers as brands

Me? A brand? Like cornflakes? Like a fine Merlot? (Maybe!) Sounds a little confusing doesn’t it??

Defining and building a strong and established personal brand is the cornerstone of communicating your skills, business, personality and values. A strong personal brand helps us cultivate our power to stand out from the crowd and be unique.

We live in a connected society which means that personal branding has evolved far beyond handing out your snazzy business card.  Building a defined and strong brand around yourself is perhaps the single most important way to differentiate yourself and rise to the top of your game.

Speaker 1: Dr. Mashego Skaal

Her next goal is to build more of this kind of gyms in townships, making health and fitness more accessible to lower income earners.

Speaker 2: Mummy Mthembu-Fawkes
Mummy is Founder of natural cosmetics company Earthy, young and successful company, Earthy is not only female-owned but female run and has 400 independent distributors with 3 stores and a 4th one on the way.  With her experience as a speaker and strategist, Mummy plays a hands-on roll in mentoring those who work with her and actively helps them grow their businesses.  Mummy came 9th place in the Sowetans Top 100 young entrepreneurs and was nominated by ELLE Magazine for ELLE Boss for her contributions to making a difference in Africa.
