Hallo old time friends, party people and newcomers! 

The Hug a Tree party is only for true nature lovers and will be held at Kai Tikquoa Conservancy, a stunning 500 hectare farm on the coast of George with indigenous fynbos and forest, soft grass for camping, wild animals, clean toilets, fresh drinking water and cold showers in the forest. There are no formal structures on this farm, so don't expect your everyday luxuries!

There will be magicians, stilt walkers, fire dancers and hoola hoopers as well as a wide variety of crafts, food stalls, a cash bar and ice. Please note that there are no card facilities or ATM devices available at the premises so keep your cash handy.

Tickets:
There will be CASH tickets available for sale at the gate:
R350 for whole weekend camping (gates open at 08:00am and the first DJ starts at 11:00am)
R300 from Saturday 8 am
R200 from Sunday 7 am

As always, top class psychedelic décor and art will be supplied by The Modern Primitives and friends to insure the ultimate visual psychedelic experience.

Lineup:
The lineup will consist of DJ's from all over SA: ABRA, Alchemist, Arcane Fungus, Compact, Contrast, ClearTone, Dan Scot, Danimal, Dirty Rehab, Dr Katz, Driva, Flower Power, Killer B, Luca, Malcolm X, Potty Modern Primitives, Psydewise, PsyMantis, PsyNapse, PsyOdyssey, Roezax, RudiMental, Ryan, Siren, Skitzo, Talking Decks, Triptonik, Tranceforms, Tyro, Tystix, and Xenogressive,
 
The live band Rooted Souls will end the party off with a beautiful set which will start from 17:00 on Sunday 8 April at the bar area.

Facilities:

  • Designated fire areas (NO independent fires)
  • Main stage with tent covering and lots of soft comfortable grass for relaxing
  • Cold showers and toilet facilities
  • Cash bar and chill areas
  • Clean drinking water in taps and ice for sale
  • NO under 18's allowed.
  • The event is kid-friendly for children up to 10 years, but parents will have to take full responsibility for their children.
  • There will be food and beverage stalls and a variety of clothing, jewellery, crystal and craft stalls

Camping:
There is ample camping space available at the venue and this is included in your ticket price. To accommodate those travelling from far, campers are welcome to stay until Monday morning 10:00 am.

Directions:
Take the Thembalethu turn off from the N2 highway outside George and drive towards the Thembalethu Mall. Turn left at the main four-way robot intersection at the Thembalethu Mall and continue straight all the way until you reach the very end of the road at a large circle (3km). Continue straight with the gravel road for approximately 1km until you get to the main party gate. Please note: this route is a much better detour than the access route used during previous events. To insure ease of access and the safety of our guests, there will be an increased official presence and signage.
