The adoption journey doesn't end on the day a child is welcomed home. In many ways, it is just beginning. The Empowered to Connect Conference provides practical teaching and resources to begin the healing journey so many children need.Empowered to Connect, together with "Show Hope" and "The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU present the "Empowered to Connect Conference" - this year, for the first time, available via simulcast in South Africa! This two-day conference is designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders and professionals better understand and connect with "children from hard places" in order to help them to heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
Featuring speakers such as David Cross and Dan and Terri Coley, the conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving to support others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others.
Our Pretoria event will screen recordings (unfortunately, due to the time difference, not live) of the exact sessions that are being presented at the event in the US - but we will all also benefit from face-to-face, real-time interactions with other local families and professionals who are all walking the same journey as we are.
Conference fee includes:
- Attendance at simulcast screenings on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28
- A comprehensive, printed workbook
- A certificate of attendance
- Snacks and refreshments.
