Clear your Sunday, because one of South Africa's most exciting young winemakers is bringing his entire range to Fieldblend and pouring it himself!

Daniel Colombo's route into wine was anything but conventional. He grew up on a Paarl grape farm, tumbled down the natural wine rabbit hole in Europe, and swapped pouring glasses behind the bar at Leo's for getting sticky in the cellar. Then came a harvest with Tom Lubbe at Matassa in Roussillon, and in 2021, his own label was born.

Now this self-taught winemaker is on a mission to give South Africa's underdog grapes their moment. Think Colombar and Muscat d'Alexandrie, but textural, characterful, and a world away from what you might expect.

And did we mention he's a romantic? His wine names read like a love letter to his wife, and his rosé was inspired by his daughter, Rosie. Bring someone you love, or just someone who'll share a bottle!
