An den Mond - An Evening with Schubert Lieder

The Munich based soprano Stephanie Krug together will Lied-accompanist doyen, Albie van Schalkwyk, present an all Schubert Liederabend. Titled 'An den Mond' the first half of the concert is a compilation of Goethe settings only. The program contains popular favourites (such as 'Ständchen', 'Die Forelle' or 'Der Jüngling an der Quelle'), as well as lesser-known songs (e.g. 'Schäfers Klagelied', 'An Mignon',' An den Mond'). The program ends with the expansively beautiful setting of 'Auf dem Strom', for which a cameo artist will join the duo.

In popular Welgemeend tradition and courtesy of Jacobs Vineyards, a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon may be enjoyed before the concert on the Welgemeend Manor stoep or while strolling through Boerneef Art collection constantly on display at Welgemeend.
