Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace

Basson Laubscher is a SAMA-nominated South African blues-rock and roots artist, known for delivering self-penned songs with raw passion, grit, and honesty. Blending soulful guitar work, foot-stomping grooves, and roots-driven energy, his music moves effortlessly from heartfelt Americana-inspired ballads to gritty delta boogie, all filtered through a style that is unmistakably his own.

No stranger to the South African music scene, Laubscher has spent nearly two decades carving out his place as one of the country’s most respected alternative blues-rock voices. As the guitarist and founding member of acclaimed Afrikaans alternative rock band Zinkplaat, as well as a sought-after sideman to some of South Africa’s musical greats, he has earned a reputation as a guitarist who can make his instrument sing, howl, and whisper with equal conviction.

Often compared to Rory Gallagher for his fiery guitar playing and deeply emotive performances, Laubscher brings an old-school spirit to modern South African roots music — combining the heart of the blues with the swagger of rock ’n roll.

Keenan Scott is a blues and folk artist whose distinctive sound brings together tasteful guitar playing, masterful songwriting, and soulful, heartfelt lyrics. His music feels intimate yet full-bodied—rooted in timeless tradition while carried by a character all its own.

With a compelling stage presence and a driving rhythm that gets audiences moving, Keenan turns every performance into a warm, memorable experience. His evocative songs balance quiet reflection with infectious energy, inviting listeners to feel every word and follow every groove. He is joined by drummer Sebastian Shield and bassist Oliver Beukes, whose dynamic playing adds depth, momentum, and lift to the live sound.

Alec Griffiths & Hoi Palloi

Alec Griffiths - Guitar and Vocals (of Earth Blues) is bringing a brand new power-trio 'Hoi Polloi' with Sebastian Shield on the Drums and Oliver Beukes on Bass Guitar.

They play old school Blues-rock, paying tribute to the likes of BB King, Magic Sam, Jimmy Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan and some Jimi Hendrix. With blistering speed and an old school style, Hoi Polloi is one of few bands that attempts to carry on the old tradition of loud old amps and burning Strats.
