National Youth Music Competition 2026

The Finalists' Gala Concert of the National Youth Music Competition on Saturday 5 December, will feature the top six finalists of this prestigious national competition for classical musicians between the ages of 14 and 19 years. They will each perform a movement of a concerto with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Brandon Phillips, at the beautiful Endler Hall in Stellenbosch.

Come and share in the ecstasy and agony as these young musicians do their final battle, after successfully having come through three difficult and demanding rounds from 1 to 3 December, performing for an expert panel of adjudicators. These preliminary rounds are free and open to the public.

Be part of the exciting gala event on Saturday 5 December at 18:00, and show your support for the young and upcoming classical musicians of our country.
