ABOUT
Design it, slice it, print it and take it home.
A hands-on 3D printing course where you turn your own ideas into real objects.
Description
Every 3D print starts as an idea on a screen. In this course, you take that idea all the way to a finished object you can tangibly hold.
Working on our Sparkx and Creality printers, you learn the full process that designers and engineers use every day. You sketch a design, build it in CAD software, prepare it for printing, and watch it come to life layer by layer. Then clean it up and finish it properly.
What you will learn
- Design in CAD. Learners create their own 3D models from scratch, learning how to measure, shape and join parts so they print correctly.
- Slice the model. They prepare their design in slicing software, choosing settings like layer height, infill and supports, and learn how each choice changes strength, speed and finish.
- Print it. They set up the printer, load the filament, level the bed and run their own prints, and they learn what to do when a print fails.
- Finish it. They remove supports, sand, clean and finish their parts so the final piece looks the way they designed it.
