Ahmed Al-Kadi Hospital Conference Room
ABOUT
You’ve prepared for birth. Now let’s prepare for postpartum.
Pregnancy is often filled with appointments, birth plans and preparations for your baby. But what about the mother who emerges from that birth experience?
Join us for a morning dedicated to movement, recovery, mental wellbeing and the often-overlooked transition into early motherhood. Through expert insights, practical guidance and meaningful conversations, we’ll explore what it truly means to prepare for the fourth trimester, and why mothers deserve to be supported just as intentionally as they prepare to welcome their babies.
Meet our speakers
Sumaiyya Karim | Founder & Specialist Doula, Mother’s Intuition
Sumaiyya will explore the importance of preparing for postpartum with the same care and intention we give to birth. From identifying your needs to creating a support network, her session will encourage you to consider what being cared for might look like in the weeks after your baby arrives.
Nasreen Sardiwalla Ebrahim | Clinical Psychologist Explore the emotional transition into motherhood, the importance of postpartum mental wellbeing, and how to build a support network before your baby arrives.
Nashreen Omar | Physiotherapist Learn about recovery following vaginal and caesarean birth, alongside breastfeeding support and the role of laser therapy in addressing breastfeeding-related nipple concerns.

A first look at a more intentional approach to postpartum care
At Mother’s Intuition, we believe that caring for a mother after birth should be considered part of the journey , not an afterthought. This morning will also offer a gentle introduction to an evolving vision for Bespoke Postpartum by Mother’s Intuition: a more personalised approach to supporting mothers and their families through the early weeks after birth.
Rooted in the belief that every mother’s needs are different, this approach considers the practical, emotional and nurturing support that can make the transition into motherhood feel less overwhelming and more held.
It’s an opportunity to begin a conversation about what postpartum care could look like when the mother’s wellbeing is placed at the centre, too.
Because preparing for motherhood should include preparing to be cared for, too.
We look forward to welcoming you for a morning of learning, connection and meaningful preparation for the journey beyond birth.
