Clay, Spirits & Celebration ??

This Halloween, join us at Ceramic Essence for something a little different, a creative afternoon inspired by the colours, symbolism and spirit of Día de los Muertos, the Mexican tradition of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed.

With my Argentinean roots and Mexican friends who have introduced me to this beautiful tradition, I've come to appreciate the way remembrance can be approached with colour, love, creativity and celebration. I want to bring a little of that inspiration into the studio where we come together, enjoy one another's company and make something with our hands.

We'll spend the afternoon playing with clay, exploring textures, colours and little details to bring our creations to life. You're free to create whatever inspires you, whether it's something meaningful, something spooky or something beautiful. If you're not quite sure where to start, don't worry! I'll have a selection of project ideas and inspiration for you to follow, with simple techniques to help you get started. From decorative dishes and little sculptures to flowers, skulls and playful Halloween-inspired creations, there's plenty of inspiration to spark your imagination. The idea is to enjoy the process, make something your own and have fun along the way.

Expect a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with candles, flowers, drinks, snacks and a little Halloween magic. Costumes are encouraged, so gather your friends, dress up if you feel like it, and enjoy a creative afternoon before heading out for dinner and continuing the celebrations.

No pottery experience is needed, just come as you are, bring your curiosity and enjoy the experience.

Clay, tools, materials, glazing and firing of your agreed piece are included, along with drinks and snacks. Finished ceramic pieces will be ready for collection after approximately 4–6 weeks.
