Only in Sleep is Symphonia 21’s 2026 choral project, inviting audiences into a musical reflection on the dreams, hopes, prayers, and aspirations that shape our lives and our vision for the future.

Through a compelling program of choral music, young South African artists explore the longing for peace, unity, purpose, faith, and a better world for generations to come. The music journeys through the realities of human conflict and division, while affirming the enduring power of compassion, connection, and our shared humanity.

At its heart, Only in Sleep is a reminder that our greatest dreams extend beyond ourselves. They call us to imagine what is possible when we recognise our responsibility towards one another and place our hopes in something greater than ourselves.

Rooted in the belief that music can bring people together, this concert offers an invitation to pause, reflect, and rediscover the dreams we hold for ourselves, our communities, and the world we share.
