Emo Night Presents: Carz

Yes, you read that right. CARZ. It may not make sense to you, but to those of us who played the Need For Speed Underground 2 soundtrack in between Underoath and Story Of The Year, it’s a no-brainer. Cars are cool. Cars are emo. Add a ‘z’ and suddenly I’m yelling “Skrillex was in an emo band!” while the pink-haired girl passes me over for my nemesis, Jonty.

So what can you expect? This time we’re taking over both floors of EVOL to bring you:

• Emo Night DJs spinning nu-metal, metalcore, hardcore, emo rap, and punk bangers
• A cyberpunk alleyway with tattoos, tooth gems, coffee, and snacks
• A chill zone with a pop-up gaming station for the overstimulated (it’s me)
• That fucking ball pit

And the eternal question: what artists am I gonna hear? I can hear you saying “That’s not emo!” and I am answering that emo is a state of mind. Unshackle yourself!

We’ve been planning this one for MONTHS – think of it as our Emo Night Year-End Extravaganza. Our way to say goodbye to our 10th year and welcome in the next decade of chaos. Vroom vroom.
