A Different Politics

George Monbiot & Jeremy Lent | Politics for a Thriving World

What kind of politics does a thriving world ask of us?

At a time when politics feels increasingly divided, what would it mean to imagine something different? A politics rooted in ecological wellbeing, meaningful participation, community and care for the living world.

Join us at Hollow Tree, Cape Town, for a special screening of the opening conversation in Schumacher College’s Politics for a Thriving World series.

In A Different Politics, acclaimed environmental writer and Guardian columnist George Monbiot joins ecological philosopher and author Jeremy Lent to explore alternatives to the political and economic systems shaping our world today.

Drawing on Jeremy’s new book, Ecocivilization: Making a World that Works for All, the conversation explores what a more life-affirming society might look like, and how we might begin creating it.

We’ll gather to watch the conversation together and make space for reflection, discussion and connection afterwards.
