ABOUT
Neurospicey is a one woman performance that combines stand up comedy, live music and raw, personal storytelling to explore what it means to navigate life with a neurodivergent brain.
Drawing from Tarryn Light's lived experience of ADHD and Autism, the work explores relationships, parenting, work, finances, identity, masking, sensory overwhelm, burnout, self acceptance and the constant pressure to function within a world designed largely around neurotypical expectations.
At its heart, Neurospicey asks: What happens when we stop trying to fit ourselves into a world that wasn't designed for us? Who are we underneath the masks we create to make ourselves "acceptable"? And could understanding neurodiversity change the way we see ourselves, and the people around us?
The work balances vulnerability with humour, celebrating the strengths, creativity, chaos and joy that can come with a neurodivergent way of experiencing the world.
