Elé Jacobs

A professional South African singer-songwriter and musician whose music balances deeply intimate storytelling with a powerful social conscience. Having established her roots performing across Gauteng, her recent relocation to Cape Town has brought an awakened spirit to her writing, resulting in soulful, evocative acoustic original songs. Unafraid to use her art to address profound global and local themes—ranging from war and oppression to gender-based violence awareness—she commands the stage with moving vocal delivery and raw sincerity. A captivating and purposeful addition to any lineup, her sets transform acoustic spaces into shared moments of reflection, connection, and profound emotional depth. Like the Mouse is the musical moniker of Cape Town-based singer-songwriter Michael "Mickey" Struwig, a bilingual folk artist who creates raw, intimate soundscapes rooted in acoustic guitar and deep storytelling. Dubbing his distinctive style "mudcracker folk", he captures a gritty yet comforting South African texture through lo-fi room recordings and compelling narratives.
