SEED IV: Discover Contemporary African Art at Villa Arcadia

One beautiful setting. A wealth of artistic talent. Your next favourite artwork.

Join us on Wednesday, 14 October, from 11am to 6pm, for the public viewing of SEED IV, SAFFCA’s fourth celebration of contemporary Southern African art, at Villa Arcadia in Parktown.

Discover works by established names and exciting emerging artists, including William Kentridge, Diane Victor, Cathy Abraham, Justin Dingwall, Alka Dass and Patrick Rulore. From expressive paintings and intimate photographs to intricate textiles and unexpected materials, this is an opportunity to experience the artworks up close—and discover the stories behind them.

Whether you’re an experienced collector, considering your first artwork or simply looking for an inspiring day out, come and explore the creativity shaping our contemporary art landscape.

Art worth discovering. An ecosystem worth supporting.

SEED IV connects collecting with meaningful support for artists and the organisations that sustain their practice. Artwork sales support participating artists and galleries, SAFFCA’s residency programmes, and three vital arts organisations: the META Foundation, the Bag Factory and the Centre for the Less Good Idea.

Bring a friend, follow your curiosity and find the work that speaks to you.
