CherryTime™ Cherry Picking

CherryTime™? cherries are grown in the picturesque orchards of Ceres, where rolling rows of trees sit beneath the surrounding mountains. As summer approaches, delicate white blossom gives way to ripening fruit, slowly transforming the tranquil landscape with bursts of rich red. It's here, in this beautiful corner of the Western Cape, that cherry orchards comes to life through generations of growing experience, dedicated hands and the quiet rhythm of the Dutoit farms.

Grown for a famously short season, CherryTime™? cherries are one of nature’s rarest delights. Each cherry is carefully selected and handpicked for its characteristically deep red colour, crisp bite and naturally sweet, juicy flavour, making that first delicious taste of summer all the more worth waiting for.

For one day only on 05 December, you’re invited through the orchard gates to experience this rare seasonal pleasure for yourself. Choose between a morning or afternoon cherry-picking session, meet the dedicated people behind the harvest and wander between the trees as you handpick ripe cherries straight from the branches.

A FEW NOTES BEFORE YOU JOIN US

Our orchards are beautiful, but they are working orchards and nature doesn't always come with level paths. Please note that the orchard is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, and the terrain can be uneven in places. Comfortable, closed shoes are recommended. Toilets are available on the farm.

Come prepared for a little summer sunshine. The orchards can get warm, so we recommend bringing:

Sunblock

A sunhat

A hand fan

Comfortable shoes

A water bottle

We look forward to spending a magical day in the orchards with you.
