In our first instalment of Karibu Connections, join us for our exclusive online event, Joy of Africa, where we will celebrate self-expression, authenticity and identity. With the help of our amazing guests and talented team, we'll share our experiences through the art of writing and performance.

Fronted by our guest speaker, Shane van der Hoven, the evening begins with a discussion of the night’s themes through the lens of Shane’s work.

Next, we will open the floor for the audience to share their poetry that best reflects their ideas of Identity, authenticity, belonging, and joy.

We’ll close with a gentle moment of collective affirmation and connection.

No matter what your identity is, who you love, or who you are, Karibu Connections is a safe event for everyone with a creative spark. No performance pressure. No expectations. Just you. And that is more than enough.
