Johannesburg Zoo, Lower Park Drive Entrance

ABOUT

  • A community initiative jointly hosted by Autism South Africa (ASA), Caring Women's Forum (CWF), and the F.E.E.D organisation (Feed, Empower, Educate and Develop). This will be the 3rd annual walk/run to be hosted in Johannesburg to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorders, hosted under the newly established banner 'Jozi4Autism'.

The mission of Jozi4Autism is to:
  • To promote awareness of the prevalence of autism in South Africa with particular focus on previously disadvantaged communities.
  • To raise funds which would facilitate the assessment and interventions for children with autism in disadvantaged areas within Gauteng, South Africa.
  • To encourage social integration of children and families with autism within the context of the community.
Please note that photographic and/or video material taken during activities may be used for training, marketing and/or awareness campaigns.

Cash tickets will also be sold on the day.

In the event of rain, the event will continue, although we may need to make changes to the program, so please do bring along umbrellas, rain jackets and warm clothes. Only if the weather becomes too hazardous to continue will we be forced to cancel the event. Regrettably we will not be able to refund tickets should the event be cancelled due to hazardous conditions.
