Breathe: An Introduction to Breathwork
Sat Oct 10, 10:00 - Sat Oct 10, 11:30
61 Loop St
ABOUT
Join us for a gentle and restorative breathwork experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and create space for calm.
Breathwork is the intentional regulation of the breath. Through slow, deep and conscious breathing, we can support the nervous system, stimulate the vagus nerve and encourage the body to move out of a fight-or-flight state and into a more relaxed, regulated state.
During this session, you will be introduced to the foundations of breathwork and explore how conscious breathing can support both physical and emotional wellbeing. The practice will focus on relaxation, nervous system regulation and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, often described as the body's "rest and restore" state.
What to expect
The session will include:
- An introduction to breathwork and its impact on the body and nervous system
- A guided breathwork practice in a supportive environment
- Individual attention and guidance throughout the session
- Time to rest, reflect and integrate the experience
No previous breathwork experience is required.
What to bring
Please bring a blanket so that you can remain warm and comfortable during the practice, as well as a journal to record any thoughts or reflections afterwards. Please also wear comfortable clothes.
Light refreshments will be served following the session, carefully chosen to complement the gentle nature of the experience.
