ABOUT
The SAAF National Convention 2026 brings together attorneys’ associations from across South Africa with strong grassroots representation to engage on issues of common concern affecting the attorneys’ profession.
The Convention aims to promote collaboration, strengthen cooperation between attorneys’ associations, and provide a platform for practical engagement on challenges experienced by legal practitioners in their day-to-day practices.
The one-day programme will include a plenary session, followed by focused workstreams dealing with four key areas:
- Deceased Estates & Trusts, with particular focus on engagement with the Master’s Office; and
- Court Operations, including practical challenges affecting attorneys and the administration of justice.
- Practice Support: Dealing with compliance and practice related challenges.
- Conveyancing: Collaborating on Deed Office challenges.

- 8h00: Registration (Coffee/Tea on arrival)
- 9h00: Plenary & Key Note Speakers
- 10h45: Coffee/Tea & Refreshments
- 11h00: Workstream Break-aways
- 13h00: Lunch
- 14h00: Engagement with Minister of Justice (TBC)
- 14h45: Engagement with LPC (TBC)
The Convention is intended to provide attorneys’ associations with an opportunity to identify shared concerns and develop practical solutions for constructive engagement with relevant stakeholders.
