Join us at Bertha Wine Bar for an intimate tasting celebrating Semillon from across South Africa.

Often overshadowed by more familiar white varieties, Semillon has a remarkable story to tell. From historic vineyards and old vines to cool coastal sites and warmer inland regions, the variety can produce wines that are fresh and vibrant, rich and textured, elegant and restrained and with time, beautifully complex.

For this special evening, we’ll bring together a selection of South Africa’s most distinctive Semillon producers, tasting their wines side by side and exploring how place, vineyard, vintage and winemaking shape the expression of one grape.

Expect stories from the people behind the wines, thoughtful comparisons, and a closer look at why Semillon continues to inspire winemakers across the country.
