ABOUT
Rory Petzer brings his latest show, FunEmployed to the stage with the high-energy wit that made him one of South Africa's most relatable and viral comedians - but this time, he's got something new: Time.
After resigning in December 2025 to become a full-time comedian, MC and content creator, Rory is officially… Funemployed. No boss. No clock-in. No HR. Just a terrifying amount of free hours and a brain that refuses to switch off.
In FunEmployed, Rory unpacks the chaos of life after employment - from the panic of sending that resignation email to the eerie silence of a Tuesday at 10:37am when everyone else is at work and you're overthinking things no adult should have time to overthink.
This time round, he's lacing up too - bringing in fresh running material and the stories he gathered from the side of the road at Comrades this year, where he swapped his running shoes for a microphone.
A two-time Savanna Comics' Choice Award winner, with appearances on Showmax too, a viral car-seat commentator and the country's "Minister of Champions," Rory blends sharp South African humour, sport, reinvention and the absurdity of modern life.
Because when you remove the 9-to-5… you create a 24-hour content factory.
FunEmployed is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud ride through risk, freedom and the dangerously creative power of too much time.
