ABOUT

GHOST MOTORFEST — SUNDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2026 — THE WICKET, NEWLANDS

70+ cars and 20+ motorcycles. Indoors. Under one roof, for one day.

A 1-day indoor motor festival across two buildings at Newlands, with four themed

halls, live music and a DJ, food and drink traders on site, and a VIP area beside

the stage. Everything is under a roof, so the weather never gets a vote.

THE FOUR HALLS

· Classic — pre-1980 machinery, unrestored where possible.

· Sports — the quick stuff. Coupes and roadsters, parked nose-out so the door

lines and the stance read from the aisle.

· Stance — fitment, wheels and ride height, given the most floor per car in the

hall so nothing crowds an arch or a sill.

· Race — purpose-built and ex-competition cars.

The main hall is the Wicket, with the adjoining Snakepit Museum as the second

building. You do not choose a building when you buy — the whole site is one festival.

THE DAY

13:00 Gates open at the Wicket lobby · live music, first set

13:30 All four themed halls open

14:00 VIP dining service begins

16:00 Concours judging and awards

18:00 DJ set

21:00 Last entry

22:00 Close

The running order is provisional and is confirmed to ticket holders.

VIP includes a meal and a drink, priority queues at the gate, on-premises

underground parking at no extra charge, and a private seating area beside the

music — everything a general admission ticket gets is included on top.

Children under 6 come in free and do not need a ticket. Everyone from 6 upwards

needs a ticket of their own, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a

responsible adult who holds a ticket.

There are 2 450 tickets in total, split across the three releases. Each release

is capped — once it is sold out, it is sold out, and the next release's price

applies.

Tickets are electronic. Once payment clears your ticket is emailed to you and

carries a code that is scanned once, at the single gate.

GETTING THERE AND PARKING

The Wicket — Newlands, Camp Ground Road, Newlands, Cape Town, 7700.

Public parking is R30 per car for the day, on the Groote Schuur High School

sports field next to the ground, and you walk in from there. Follow the marshals,

and do not park on the surrounding streets or across any driveway — the roads

around the ground are in daily residential use and towing is enforced by the City.

VIP tickets include on-premises underground parking, so there is no charge and

no queue at the gate.

ACCESS AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Both buildings have level or ramped access and accessible WCs. Companion tickets

are not charged where you need assistance — write to the festival office before you

buy and we will arrange it in advance rather than at the gate.

Handheld photography is welcome, and there is a designated detail close-up area.

Tripods, drones and rigging beyond head height are not allowed on the festival floor.

There is live music and a DJ through the day and the stage uses moving lights and

haze. The museum floor and the display halls are the quieter parts of the venue —

ask a marshal where the quietest route is.

EXHIBITING

Enter your car or bike through the exhibitor application on our website. Cars

R350, bikes R250, and protected car positions R550. Slots are limited — 50 cars,

20 bikes and 12 protected positions — and selection is by the panel, not

first-come. Every booked exhibitor slot includes a place in the venue's

underground parking for the vehicle that brought the car, the bike or the stand in.
