ABOUT
The Pink Workshop: Part 2 of 2
Part of The Pink Initiative 2026, in collaboration with CityROCK Pretoria
"Hangboards, Hormones and Healthy Tendons"
Chalk up and join us for an evening that gets into the science behind tendon health and hormones, then puts it into practice on the wall.
The Pink Workshop series is part of The Pink Initiative 2026, a community campaign built around one simple idea: community, movement, impact.
What to expect
The evening opens with a 15-minute educational talk from registered biokineticist, Kerri Stevenson, covering how hormones influence tendon health and recovery, and what that means for climbers specifically. From there, CityROCK Pretoria leads a 45-minute bouldering session, open to all levels.
Who you're supporting: iLoveBoobies ZA
iLoveBoobies ZA NPC provides free education and clinical breast examinations to South African women who can't access these medical services due to financial, locational or social challenges. Every rand raised at this event goes directly toward that mission.

Bra collection drive
Alongside the workout, we're running a bra collection drive to support women in need. Bring along any new or gently used bras on the day and drop them into the collection point, no purchase or ticket necessary to contribute. You can also drop off donations anytime at CityROCK Pretoria, 6th Element Fitness, Ecth Pierre van Ryneveld or any of our locations (Irene & Highveld), with collection running throughout August to October. It's a small, practical way to give back on top of the funds raised on the day, and every bra collected goes directly toward supporting women who need it.
What to bring
Water bottle, towel, and your best pink active outfit. Climbing shoes available to rent at the venue if you don't have your own.
Come for the workshop, stay for the community.
Together, we can make a difference in early breast cancer detection.
