A Saturday morning walk for when you're at a crossroads

Something feels off, or something needs to change, and you haven't worked out what to do about it yet.

Maybe you've been going round the same decision for months. Maybe you've outgrown a job, a routine or the way you've always done things. Or you can't put your finger on what's wrong, only that you don't want to be in the same place next year.

So get out of your head for a morning and come walk with us.

THE EXPERIENCE

Dirt, Boots & Reflection is a 7.5 km walk through Aasvoëlbad, built around conversation. It's not a hike where you follow the person in front of you.

We've built the walk so that things happen along the way. You'll walk with different people, stop at different points on the trail, get something to think or talk about, and come across a few things you won't expect. There'll be time for conversation, time for a bit of play, and time to just walk and take in where you are.

There's no workshop and no motivational speaker. Nobody will ask for your life story, and you don't need to arrive knowing what your next step is.

The questions we'll be walking with are staying on the trail. What we can say is that they go to some of the things that can sit underneath feeling stuck: what you need, what matters to you now, what might be holding you back and what you might want to explore next.

Sometimes you work something out by saying it out loud. Sometimes someone else's perspective shifts yours. Sometimes a change of scenery is enough to notice what you couldn't see before.

And if nothing profound happens, you'll still have spent a Saturday morning outdoors, eaten good food and hopefully met some interesting people.

THE WALK

7.5 km · Moderately challenging

It's a proper hike, so you'll need a reasonable level of fitness. Comfortable hiking shoes and at least 2 litres of water are recommended.
