#JacarandaInYourPocket x MicroAdventure Tours bloom-spotting rooftop tour

Saturday, 24 October 2026

14:00 – 17:00

Starting at The Leonardo, Alto234

Address: 75 Maude St, Sandown, Sandton

There are few better ways to see Johannesburg in full purple bloom than from the rooftop of the famous Red Bus, following a specially curated route with canapés, bubbles and spectacular viewpoints.

Join Johannesburg In Your Pocket and Kennedy Tembo of MicroAdventure Tours for a jacaranda-filled journey through some of Joburg’s most beautiful streets and neighbourhoods.

We’ll begin at Alto234 at The Leonardo, where you’ll be welcomed with champagne before boarding the Red Bus. Along the route, you’ll take in the purple-lined streets of Parkwood and Saxonwold, Melrose and Houghton.

You’ll stop at Munro Drive, a great spot for taking in the purple canopy – and getting that photograph. Then it’s back on the bus and on to 54 on Bath, where we’ll head to the rooftop for spectacular views across Rosebank and enjoy a selection of chef’s-choice appetisers.

Space is limited to 50 guests.

This event forms part of the annual #jacarandainyourpocket photo competition and event series.
