CAPE TOWN RESORT COLLECTIONS

Every November, Cape Town Resort Collections opens the Cape summer with a single show that brings the best of South African design onto one stage. This year it moves to Glen Dirk Estate, one of the oldest working farms in the Constantia valley, and takes its cue from the summer fair: produce stacked in crates, tables laid under the trees, a crowd that has come as much for the afternoon as for the spectacle.

The Market Edit presents a curated line-up of the country's leading and most exciting designers, each showing a Spring Summer 27 Resort collection. There is no raised runway. Collections are released in waves through the estate grounds, with models walking among the guests, past the market stalls and along the vineyard edge, so that the clothing is seen in the light and against the landscape it was designed for.

Dress for a summer afternoon outdoors; the estate grounds are grassed and paved, so flat or block heels are recommended. Guests must be 18 or older to be served alcohol. Parking is available on the estate. Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable through Quicket.
