DISCOVER THE WILD SIDE OF DURBAN - EVERTON CONSERVANCY!

Join us for a scenic adventure at Everton Conservancy, South Africa’s oldest urban conservancy, established in 1991. Situated west of Durban and upstream from Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, Everton is home to beautiful forests, grasslands and wetlands, with an incredible variety of wildlife and birdlife.

Keep your eyes open for bushbuck, duiker, bush pigs, genets and, if you're very lucky, even serval or caracal. The conservancy has also recorded more than 100 bird species, including the magnificent and endangered African Crowned Eagle.

HIKE OPTIONS

3 KM — Grade 1 | R99 Adults | R79 Kids Under 13

A relaxed route, perfect for families with young children and beginners.

8 KM — Grade 2 | R149 Adults | R99 Kids Under 13

A longer scenic route for those wanting a little more of a challenge.

Your ticket also includes a donation to the conservancy, helping support this beautiful natural area.

WHAT TO BRING

• Plenty of water or cold drinks
• Snacks
• Comfortable backpack
• Walking shoes or takkies with good grip
• No flat-soled shoes — good grip is essential
• Rain jacket — just in case

IMPORTANT

A minimum of 15 confirmed bookings is required for this event to proceed.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the event will be cancelled and refunds will be processed.

No credit or refund will be given for no-shows.

The hike will go ahead in all normal weather conditions. We will only cancel if conditions become extreme, such as extreme heat or cold, hail or heavy rain.

A little rain won't hurt anyone, and at least the bugs will stay away.
