Hip Hop Heritage Durban: IYKYK

Return to the Durban Hip Hop scene circa 2006, when indy artists took it from shared stages around the city to festivals around the country, marking a unique moment in the Hip Hop heritage of 031 Poison City. Who better to represent this golden era of live Hip Hop than the Hot Box hosts themselves, none other than BIG IDEA, returning to the stage for the first time together since 2012 and joined by those likely two, the original Simmer City cats: King B and Creamy E, back once again as illuminating shadows.

In the flavour of the original illshad show the evening includes the extra-added attraction of 2 x SA DMC winner and 2012 Redbull The3style Champion THE CUTT and the city’s most esteemed maestro TheGrandDukeRaw.

Hosted by the latest name in a long legacy of quality Durban live music venues, ROBSON’S ON POINT, it’s hard to imagine a more fitting throw back to the time of flyers, mix-CDs, ciphers and park jams. Expect some classic feels with some classic people for some classic times.
