OZCF KIDS SPRING HOLIDAY WORKSHOP: PLANTING

Facilitator Bio:

Isabella Hulme is an early childhood educator and counsellor-in-training who designs creative, nature-based experiences that celebrate curiosity, imagination, play, and the rich world of more-than-human life around us.

Isabella weaves together nature, creativity, and relational learning in her work with children, drawing on her background in the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, forest school practice, and therapeutic art facilitation.

In her workshops at Oranjezicht City Farm, Isabella guides children through hands-on, nature-based creative art activities inspired by the magic of the garden and the Earth. Each session offers children time and space to follow their curiosity, explore creatively, and take the lead in what captures their attention.

All materials are provided. Please come prepared for all weather!

Cost: R450/child

Time: 9.30-11.30am

Explore: Children will go on a hands-on garden expedition. We will dissect friendly flowers and herbs to discover plant anatomy, learn how seeds wake up, and taste edible herbs and flowers straight from the farm garden.

Activity: Each child will mix their own rich soil blend, decorate a planting pot, and plant something seasonal to watch grow at home.
