Join Rosoberry Nursery & Hermanus River Farm for the second Rosoberry Harvest Fest on 28 November 2026 – a relaxed, fun-filled family day celebrating berries, good food, music and summer on the farm.

Harvest Fest falls at the peak of our berry season. In the week leading up to the festival, we leave much of the fruit on the bushes so you can taste strawberries, blackberries, youngberries, blueberries, raspberries and pepinos at different stages of ripeness – including intensely flavoursome over-ripe berries that are only truly enjoyed straight from the bush, never bought in a supermarket. There may be a few special berries which only the early open eyed will find such as alpine strawberries and pink lemonade actually pink blueberries!

Come hungry, bring a picnic blanket, explore the farm and settle in for the day.

Enjoy pick-your-own berries, farm-to-table food, HRF grass-fed beef, local wines, Belgian-style ales, coffee, ice cream, live music, kids' activities, tractor rides, plants and fresh farm produce.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE VENUE. NO PETS ALLOWED.

Bring your picnic blanket and umbrella and find a spot beneath the trees, stretch tent or out on the soft grass. Some blankets will be available.

Come early if you want the very best choice of berries on the bushes!

Eat & drink on the farm

This year's food offering is bigger, while remaining deliberately local and small-scale.

Hermanus River Farm Boeries return for 2026, made with HRF grass-fed beef.

Janine, of Agteros Heritage Table from Stanford, will be serving slow-cooked brisket bowls and HRF beef espetadas.

The Poke Oukie joins us with fresh poke bowls.

I Scream You Scream Ice Cream returns with something cold for a summer afternoon, while Marco's Coffee will keep the coffee flowing.

Honingklip Brewery will be pouring its Belgian-style ales, including a special Blackberry Wit for Harvest Fest.

Gabriëlskloof will be pouring local wine.

And this year Hermanus River Farm will run its own farm produce stall, with fresh seasonal produce from the farm available to take home.

Rosoberry will also have a selection of berry plants and other nursery plants available for sale.

For the kids

Harvest Fest is very much a family day.

Alongside face painting, tractor rides, lawn games and plenty of space to run around, look out for Doodles – a little stall run by the next generation of the family, selling fun kids' crafts and other odds and ends.

Walk to the waterfall

One of the highlights of Harvest Fest is the 2.5 km Waterfall Walking Trail through Hermanus River Farm which will be guided by Dr Rosochacki.

The path winds through an old eucalyptus forest in a shady valley before emerging into recovering fynbos that has been painstakingly restored following years of severe alien infestation.

At the end you'll discover one of the farm's special places: a dramatic waterfall framed by a small pocket of ancient Afromontane forest.

Please note: this is a genuine farm and mountain walking trail rather than a manicured garden path. There are steep, uneven and potentially slippery sections. Suitable footwear and a reasonable level of mobility are recommended. Children should be supervised.

Make a weekend of it

Why drive home when you can stay on the farm?

Hermanus River Farm's 11-site campsite will be open for Harvest Fest weekend.

Camp among the trees, enjoy the festival without worrying about the drive home, and wake up on the farm the following morning.

Campers can expect the vibe to go on as long as the gees is alive.

Find Hermanus River Farm 10km from Kleinmond on the R44, between Arabella Country Estate and the R43 turn-off towards Hermanus. Please drive carefully along this busy stretch of road and keep a sharp lookout for our signage, as our driveway is hidden from direct view.
