In celebration of Heritage Month, the Dweba Afro Jazz Sessions proudly honors our musical roots by hosting two iconic masters of South African jazz: pianist Dr. Tete Mbambisa and bass legend Herbie "uMalume" Tsoaeli.

Dweba Art Gallery & Café is dedicated to keeping our cultural legacy alive. This September, our space opens its doors as a sacred sanctuary to celebrate, preserve, and pass down the rich heritage of South African jazz, Jazz Moya, and township swing through living legends.

Meet the Legends:

• Dr. Tete Mbambisa: A legendary pianist and composer who has carried the rich tradition of 1950s marabi and township jazz for over six decades.
• Herbie "uMalume" Tsoaeli: SAMA-winning bassist and composer renowned for his spirit-led Jazz Moya, deeply rooted in African heritage and storytelling.
