ABOUT
K’S FOR SPAYS
YOUR R50 CAN HELP STOP THE CYCLE
Every year, unwanted puppies and kittens are born into communities where there simply aren’t enough homes for them all.
Some will find loving families. Sadly, many won’t.
But together, we can prevent the next unwanted litter before it happens.
The Cottage Vet team and our community runners are taking on the Winelands Marathon with one goal: to turn kilometres into sterilisation surgeries.
R50 sponsors half a kilometre.
R100 sponsors one kilometre.
Every kilometre sponsored takes us closer to funding our community Spay Day.
26 RUNNERS. 414 KM. ONE BIG GOAL.
Together, our runners will cover 414 kilometres.
Our challenge is simple:
Sponsor all 414 km and help us raise R41,400 towards sterilising animals whose families may otherwise not be able to afford the procedure.
Why does this matter?
Because sterilising one animal can prevent litter after litter of unwanted puppies and kittens.
It means fewer animals competing for already scarce homes.
Fewer unwanted animals being surrendered or abandoned.
And fewer puppies and kittens being born into uncertain futures.
We can’t solve the problem overnight. But we can stop it from growing.
HOW MANY KILOMETRES WILL YOU SPONSOR?
½ km — R50
1 km — R100
2 km — R200
5 km — R500
10 km — R1,000
You don’t have to run the race.
You don’t have to adopt another animal.
You don’t have to solve the entire problem.
You can simply sponsor a kilometre.
Every R100 moves us one kilometre closer to our 414 km target — and one step closer to making our Spay Day possible.
