Inaugural Lecture featuring ANDYMKOSI
Every photograph has a story. But beyond the finished image is a practice shaped by research, experience, experimentation, failure, questions and discovery.
The TAIV Spaces Photo Lecture Series creates a space for photographers to take centre stage and speak about their work, their processes and the ideas that shape their photographic practices. For the inaugural lecture, ANDYMKOSI will reflect on a career spanning more than ten years, beginning with photography studies and moving through event and entertainment photography, documentary photography and photojournalism, to the more experimental direction of their current practice.
The lecture will offer an opportunity to look beyond the finished photograph and consider what happens before the shutter is pressed, how a practice evolves, and what it means to continue questioning the medium. The lecture will be followed by a moderated conversation and audience Q&A, creating space for exchange between the photographer and the public.
