Lunch ’n Learn: Beyond Listening – The Conversations That Make People Feel Heard
What makes someone feel heard?
It’s not always about what we say. Sometimes, it’s what we do in the moment after someone speaks.
We talk constantly — with clients, colleagues, teams, leaders and the people around us. Yet genuinely good conversation can be surprisingly rare.
We’re often taught how to speak confidently and how to listen actively.
But what happens between speaking and listening — how we respond — can completely change the quality of a conversation.
Join us for a practical and interactive 90-minute Lunch ’n Learn with Executive Communications Consultant, facilitator and coach Taz Hart.
This is not another presentation about communication!
You’ll explore your own conversational habits, experiment with different responses and discover how small shifts can create stronger connection.
What You Will Walk Away With:
- More Responsive Communication: Acknowledge and respond without automatically correcting, advising, solving or agreeing.
- Better Questions: Use thoughtful follow-up questions to create curiosity and deepen conversation.
- Stronger Conversations: Recognise when communication becomes one-sided and create more balanced interactions.
- Confidence in Disagreement: Challenge and disagree without becoming defensive or shutting down connection.
- Practical Tools: Simple techniques you can immediately use with clients, colleagues, teams and leaders, supported by a practical participant workbook.
And you’ll leave with one deceptively simple question:
“What is it like to have a conversation with me?”
