Becoming King Arthur

Come join Forest Edge Schools for its 2026 musical production, Becoming King Arthur!

This original musical adaptation breathes fresh life into the timeless legend of the boy king, the legendary sword in the stone, and the gathering of the Knights of the Round Table. When a group of students is transported back in time to Camelot, they find themselves caught in the middle of a high-stakes plot to steal the kingdom promised to young Arthur. Together, they must navigate many challenges, while discovering what it truly means to be fearless, fair, brave, and true.

Written and directed by Forest Edge Drama and Music Teacher, Mrs Terrah Mello, Becoming King Arthur is an entertaining and deeply inspiring production for the whole family. Beyond the magic and adventure, it brings home a meaningful lesson about friendship, sacrifice and the power of true unity. Becoming King Arthur reminds us that we can't walk our path alone, and that our greatest strength comes from relying on one another.

Set beneath the open sky in our outdoor amphitheatre, the Forest Edge campus will be fully transformed into the world of Camelot for three unforgettable nights.

The whole school is included in every performance, however, note that different grades take the leading roles each evening. See below for details to ensure you book for your child's spotlight night.

Show Dates & Cast Schedule

• Wednesday, 14 October: Grade 4 students lead as the primary actors, with Grades 1–3 and 5–8 as the supporting cast.
• Thursday, 15 October: Grades 5–6 students lead as the primary actors, with Grades 1–4 and 7–8 as the supporting cast.
• Friday, 16 October: Grades 7–8 students lead as the primary actors, with Grades 1–6 as the supporting musical cast.
