ABOUT

USB Executive Development (USB-ED) invites you to our Knowledge-Sharing events, First Fridays Namibia
We invite you to extend this invitation to your Company Secretaries and Board members, to whom the topic is very relevant.

TOPIC: Developing Board Leadership
We are currently inundated with examples of board failure. Directors’ sign up for fiduciary duties which they later seem unable to uphold. Training seems to be one possible solution to the problem, but what kind of training will deliver the desired result? This workshop on Developing Board Leadership will offer attendees valuable insights into effective director and board development. The approach will be as much informative as it will be participative. The focus of the session will not so much be on the knowledge components of board leadership, but on the personal, relational and process related components.

The following areas will be covered:
- the director as ethical person and leader
- board decision making for inclusive value creation
- the personal and interpersonal challenges of working together in diversity
