Awakening

Join us for the debut performance of ‘Awakening’ an exploration of the origins of our world and the human beings within it. Workshopped and co-created by Helios, an independent group of grade 7s and their teacher, Elinor Driver.

Weaving origin stories from around the world together into a web of questions, pictures, colours and sound this production is the culmination of the group’s primary school theatre journey and is an exploration of some of the answers that myths, stories and science give us to the big questions of what it means to be human and how we came to be here.

Please note, this is an amateur production and a fundraiser for Helios, a small independent, equal access class group in Marina da Gama. All proceeds from the play will go towards covering the production costs and any additional profits will go towards supporting our class trip in November.

THINGS TO KNOW:

* Please arrive on time - no entry is allowed after the show starts. Latecomers will be admitted at interval only.

* Children must have their own seat - no sitting on laps.

* No outside food or drinks are allowed. Refreshments are available for purchase inside.

* You're welcome to take food and drinks into the theatre, but please return your glasses to the bar afterward.

* No flash photography or videography is permitted during the performance.

* Free secure parking is available just 50 meters past the theatre (next to the Woodshop). The lot closes 30 minutes after the show ends. Please avoid parking in residential roads to keep access clear for local residents.
