There is real pain among South Africans who have waited generations for opportunities that have not come. There is real fear among migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers living with displacement and uncertainty. These are not competing truths that require us to choose one. But the easy answers rarely match the weight of lived realities. This online seminar will explore how colonialism, apartheid, inequality, and global migration have shaped South Africa's present tensions, asking what a faithful Christian witness looks like when it refuses to choose between loving the stranger and hearing the pain of local communities.
