Kommetjie Heritage Gathering 2026

Join KRRA’s Social Fabric team for a guided walking tour of the vlei. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

Meet at the sea end of Arum Avenue (closest intersection is Kelp Ave) at 10am — the tour, accompanied by various speakers at points of interest, starts at 10:30.

Learn about our Leopard toads, Milkwoods, the water tower and plant life of the vlei during a gentle one-hour stroll.

Enjoy a bring-and-share picnic afterwards, plus a treasure hunt for the kids!

Come and share the magic of Kommetjie and our heritage, meet your neighbours and help weave the social fabric of our community.

Bring walking shoes, picnic chairs and blankets with food and drinks to share.
