MASSAKOOR

The Harties Kwêla Makietie offers school choirs a unique opportunity to perform on a large professional stage alongside some of South Africa’s well-known artists. The mass choir will be conducted by award-winning composer and conductor Franco Prinsloo.

We would like this event to be much more than just another concert. As the Kwêla Town of the Year, we want to celebrate our area, our people and, most importantly, our young people. The mass choir will bring young singers from schools across the area together on one stage to make music in the shadow of the beautiful Magaliesberg Mountains.

The Artists

The mass choir will have the opportunity to perform with:

  • Dozi
  • Arina de Witt
  • Bongani Xumalo

Rehearsal and Concert

  • Thursday, 24 September – Villa Paradiso, Hartbeespoort
  • 12:00 – Mass choir rehearsal with Franco Prinsloo
  • 18:00 – Harties Kwêla Makietie Concert
  • 18:00 - Choirs are done and the concert continues

Choirs will receive a food and gift pack including water and cold drinks

Choir members receive a complimentary pass. Parents R120(early bird) for the day ticket that includes the show. Kids under 12: R20 for the day.

This is an opportunity for our children to experience performing on a professional stage, alongside established South African artists, and to be part of a mass choir representing their own community.

Let us fill the stage with the voices of Harties’ young people. Let us sing together, celebrate together and show what makes our community and our town so special.

We look forward to welcoming your choir to the Harties Kwêla Makietie celebration!
