This event is proudly hosted in support of Life Changer, a local charity doing incredible work with women and men experiencing homelessness in Pietermaritzburg.

All profits from Secret Sunset 2.0 will go directly towards supporting Life Changer's work in our city — helping to provide practical support, care, dignity, connection and opportunities for people who are living on the streets.

So while you're dancing under the sunset, laughing with friends and making beautiful memories, you'll also be helping to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of some of Pietermaritzburg's most vulnerable people.

Because sometimes changing lives can start with something as simple as people coming together.

INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

Event Name: Sunset Grooves 2.0., Farm Edition

Event Location: Mount Verde Estate, owned by Mount Verde (Pty) Ltd, Mount Verde Equestrian Centre (Pty) Ltd.

By purchasing a ticket for the Sunset Grooves, Farm Edition event at Mount Verde Estate (the "Estate"), you (the "Ticket Purchaser") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk:

You voluntarily wish to participate in the Sunset Grooves, Farm Edition event on the Estate. You understand that participating in this event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, illness, or loss caused by natural elements, uneven or challenging terrain, water hazards in or around the dams, wild animals, weather conditions, or the actions of other participants. By purchasing the ticket, you confirm that your participation is entirely voluntary, and you assume full responsibility for any risks involved.

Indemnification:

By purchasing your ticket, you agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and release Mount Verde (Pty) Ltd, Mount Verde Equestrian Centre (Pty) Ltd, IR Voigts (Pty) Ltd and Mount Verde Management Association (RF) NPC, its directors, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, and any other parties associated with the organisation and operation of the Event (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your participation in the event, including but not limited to those resulting from negligence or other fault to the fullest extent permitted by South African law.

Health and Safety:

By purchasing the ticket, you declare that you are in good health and physically able to participate in the walking/running event. You agree to comply with all estate rules, safety instructions, marshalls, race officials and guidelines provided by Mount Verde (Pty) Ltd.

Minors:

If you are purchasing a ticket on behalf of a minor or minors, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor, and that all acknowledgments, assumptions of risk, and indemnification provisions in this agreement are extend to the minor/s. You understand that there may be age, health, or fitness requirements or restrictions for participation and agree to ensure compliance with these limitations.

Medical Assistance:

In the event of an emergency, you authorize Life Changer, or its representatives to arrange medical treatment for you or the minor at your expense. You acknowledge that entities indemnified above bears no liability for the quality, availability, or cost of such medical treatment.

Photography and Media Consent:

By purchasing the ticket, you grant permission to Life Changer and Mount Verde (Pty) Ltd and its representatives to capture photographs, video footage, or other media during the event and to use such media for promotional, marketing, or informational purposes without compensation. These images and videos may be used on social media, websites, or other promotional platforms.

Agreement:

By completing your ticket purchase, you confirm that you have read and understood this indemnity agreement and agree to abide by its terms and conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be resolved within its jurisdiction.

IMPORTANT: By purchasing this ticket, you are acknowledging that you have agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in this indemnity form. Your ticket purchase serves as your acceptance of this agreement.
