ABOUT

PLAN YOUR COCKTAIL SAFARI

7 days | R60 cocktails | 40 bars | 1 wristband

From 7–13 December, Cape Town Cocktail Week takes over the city for seven days of cocktails, education, events and experiences.

Kick off your week at the CTCW Education Programme at Mount Nelson on 7 & 8 December, with two days of seminars, masterclasses and hands-on workshops. Sessions are free for CTCW wristband holders, on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to capacity. The full speaker lineup will be announced soon.

Then it’s time to hit the city. Use the Cocktail Safari™ map to plot your adventure across 40 participating venues, where your wristband unlocks R60 cocktails throughout the week. Discover new bars, revisit old favourites and explore Cape Town through its cocktail scene.

The CTCW26 line-up

There’s plenty happening along the way, too. Look out for three global guest shifts at Tommys Chop Shop, featuring the bartenders behind Svanen from Oslo, Nouvelle Vague from Tirana and Tag from Krakow.

Explore the city with our signature map-based safaris. Operation M for Martini: A Beefeater Map Quest sends you on a clue-driven adventure between participating bars, discovering signature Beefeater Martinis across eight outposts. Or slow down with the Lillet Two-Step Spritz – the official spritz of Cape Town Cocktail Week – and savour the journey at 10 dedicated spritz venues.

For an adventure of a different kind, Cape Sidecar Adventures returns to CTCW with the Sidecar Safari, offering hop-on, hop-off sidecar rides between selected festival venues on Saturday from 5–9pm – free with your CTCW wristband.

And discover Cape Town’s bartending creativity through the Reál x Altos Flavour Challenge, with original competition cocktails pairing Olmeca Altos Reposado tequila and Reál Infused Exotics, available to try for R75 at participating venues across the map.

Finally, end your week with a bang at the official CTCW Closing Party & Bar Battle, at District on Sunday 13 December from 2pm. Open to the public and the trade, it’s a chance to watch bartenders battle it out, cheer on your favourites and raise a glass to an incredible week.

Your CTCW wristband includes access to all the events and experiences above throughout the festival week, with drinks purchased separately. Entry to each venue is subject to available space at the time – if a bar is full, pop back a little later.

One wristband. Seven days. Endless adventures.

Ts&Cs

  • CTCW is a discovery festival, designed to encourage you to explore Cape Town through its cocktail scene. We handpick our participating venues to create a diverse and exciting Cocktail Safari™ and provide each with festival guidelines. Participating venues are independently owned and operated, however, and remain responsible for their own service and operations, including right of admission.
  • Individual venues may limit the number of R60 CTCW cocktails available per wristband holder.
  • Education Programme sessions are first come, first served and subject to capacity.
  • Our programme and line-up are subject to change. If an advertised speaker, guest bartender or other participant is unable to appear as scheduled, CTCW may substitute, reschedule or cancel the appearance. While we’ll always do our best to deliver the programme as advertised, changes to individual participants will not entitle ticket holders to a refund, provided the festival goes ahead as scheduled.
  • Online tickets must be exchanged for a physical wristband to access CTCW benefits.
  • You may collect wristbands on behalf of others if you have their QR codes. Only share your QR code with someone you authorise to collect on your behalf. CTCW accepts no responsibility for fraudulent or unauthorised redemptions.
  • Wristbands must remain on from 7–13 December to access CTCW benefits throughout the festival. Lost or removed wristbands cannot be replaced.
