Cape Town Photography Festival PUBLIC PROGRAMME: September 2026

The Cape Town Photography Festival returns for its second edition with TRUTH as its theme, bringing together more than 150 photographers from South Africa, across Africa and around the world. With almost 40 exhibitions presented across galleries, museums, cultural institutions and public spaces, the festival explores photography as a powerful way of questioning, witnessing and understanding the world. Our public programme also includes conversations, workshops, a free masterclass, guided walks, film screenings, book launches and a special outdoor exhibition in the historic Company’s Garden.
