Join us in the intimate surrounds of our wine tunnel in Constantia for Heard It Through the Cape Vine presents Matt Stern — a wonderfully different evening of South African wine, storytelling and music.

Matt Stern takes you on an entertaining journey through five fascinating stories from the Cape and its surrounding wine regions. The kind of stories you’re unlikely to have heard before. Some are hilarious, some surprising, some a little mysterious… and all of them reveal another side to the people, places and history behind South African wine.

And this isn’t a history lesson.

Matt is a brilliant storyteller, weaving lively songs, humour and unexpected tales into the evening while you taste your way through the stories. Each chapter is paired with a wine connected to the tale, so you’ll be sipping the wines you’re hearing about as the stories unfold.

All of this happens in the cosy, atmospheric setting of our wine tunnel, with an intimate group and a charming cheese and charcuterie cart with snacks to nibble on throughout the evening.

It’s part wine tasting, part storytelling show, a completely different way to experience the Cape Winelands, right here in Constantia.
