THE INDENTURED SCOTS OF 1817 & THE EASTERN CAPE
In 1817, Benjamin Moodie brought a group of indentured Scots to the Cape of Good Hope. Moodie came up with idea to bring skilled groups of people to South Africa to work as indentured labour. Charles Wait is a descendent of one of the Scottish families and shall tell the story of this group in Southern Africa.
