Meisie in Concert

This relatively young group from the Lowveld has impressed audiences at every performance, leaving them wanting more of MEISIE!

Naomi Tagg, multi award winning electric violinist, travelled to Russia earlier this year to receive the BraVo International Professional Music Award for Artist of the Year. Naomi is admired for her virtuosity and physical expression that makes her performance a joy to behold. Janette Rottcher, classical violinist and pianist, rubbing shoulders with the cream of South Africa's instrumentalists bring her expertise and a beautiful romantic nuance to the table. Vocalist, pianist and flutist, Lizanne Barnard is known for her skills in composition and arranging, setting poems to music and creating award winning productions showcased in South Africa and abroad. She was nominated for a SAFTA award in the category Best song in a Feature Film in March 2026.

This female trio wants to tell their own stories of being women in this current climate we live in, looking back on history and the stories of women of South Africa. MEISIE is on a mission to present concerts rich in quality, versitility, soul and inspiration.
