Chimurenga is proud to present IMPILISO – Odwa Bongo LIVE in concert at Chimurenga Factory on Saturday 26 September 2026 for the launch of their long awaited EP.

Vocalist and uHadi instrumentalist Odwa Bongo will be joined by Lonwabo Diba Mafani (keyboard), Keketso Bolofo (percussion), Siyolise Nyondo-Holliman (double bass), & Lerato Skhosana (guitar) for the debut performance of Odwa’s latest music project IMPILISO.

IMPILISO: Icandelo lokuqala reveals another dimension of Odwa’s artistry, one that has always existed but remained less explored. Drawing from gospel and jazz, the music leans into warm harmonies and fluid expression, while Xhosa traditional elements subtly shape the phrasing, tone, and storytelling.
